Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) has devised an environmental & social policy to promote municipal infrastructure development sub-projects which are:

 

• Environmentally Sound (avoiding / minimizing negative impacts)

• Socially Acceptable (avoiding / minimizing resettlements)

• Economically Viable (best value for money)

 

PMDFC prepared an Environmental & Social Framework (ESF), acceptable to the World Bank.

All the Environmental & Social concerns of municipal infrastructure development sub-projects are dealt in accordance with the ESF and World Bank guidelines.
