Existing Situation:
Ground
water is not available for public water supply and
water has to be imported from distant sources. The
existing water supply system is based on two
sources; Khokhar Zer Dam and Mial Spring. There is
acute shortage of
water in served areas due to less production
capacity.
Presently population covered 33 % and per
capita supplies is14 GPCD against required 50 GPCD.
Description of Sub
Project:
The sub project comprises of tube wells, pumping
machinery, distribution system, under ground
storage, and service connections.
The proposed water supply scheme is part of the
master plan taking into account implementation
under different stages. The present component will
meet requirements up to 2026.
However, tube wells will supply water up to the
year 2016 and would be augmented accordingly.

by provision of potable water.

elimination / reduction of diseases.
