Abstract of Sub-Projects Pind Dadan Khan

Implementation Period	:	6 Month

 

Existing Situation:

The roads in P.D.Khan are in a state of serious disrepair. Infrequent maintenance and improper roadside drainage causes immense difficulties to pedestrians and transporters during rainy season. The rainwater finds no outlet and accumulates on these roads which results in erosion and deterioration of these roads.

Moreover, the present situation is cause of traffic hindrance and environmental pollution which is ultimately affecting the health of the people.

 

Description of Sub Project:

The sub project is comprises of 3 roads namely Main Road, Railway Road,  Shahid Shaheed Road, and Main Bazar. Two roads will be surfacing as 1” TST while Main Bazar will be paved using concrete pavers. Walk ways and storm water drains will be provided on both sides.

 

Sub Project Benefits:

The completion of the project will result in the following benefits:

• Good road surfaces will be available to the public, which will improve the environment of the town;

• The commercial activities and business in the town will be improved as people feel ease in reaching bazaars which are connected to these streets.

• Public mental tension, frustration will be minimized.

The town will have a better look.
